My T1DBase contains lists of genes, genetic markers (SNPs), and candidate regions (or loci). You can use these lists as starting points for many T1DBase programs. Some lists are pre-defined by T1DBase staff and are visible to all users. Other lists are created by users and are only visible to the user who created them.
Even though lists can contain markers and regions, no T1DBase programs can currently use these. When a program is given a list containing markers or regions, the program will ignore these elements and only use the genes contained in the list.
If you are not logged in, My T1DBase displays public lists that are pre-defined
by the site. If you are logged in, the page also shows your private lists,
if any. You must be logged in to create private lists. See
Logging into T1DBase for
information on how to get a T1DBase account.

To create a new private list, click on 'Create a new list' below the display of
your current private lists. This will open a form with a space for the name of
the new list, and a place to enter identifiers or upload a
file of identifiers. The most reliable gene
identifiers are Entrez Gene IDs (e.g., 3630). See Entering Gene Identifiers for more information.
After creating a private list, you can change its name or add or remove members
by clicking the "edit" link next to the list in the main display area. You
can delete the list by clicking the "delete" link.
You can use the list in another T1DBase program by clicking the "send
list to tool" link next to the list. Clicking on one of the tools will cause a
new page to be loaded with the gene list already included in the "Select a
T1DBase List".
My T1DBase also shows pathways. Most T1DBase programs cannot use these.
