Data from May 2011 release thousand (1K) genome project has been integrated into the site. This includes CEU population data for 87 individuals including multi-centre concensus genotype calls.

The Mouse Strain Search tool has had a major update including data curation and improved functionality.
- Updated with details from "The Jackson Laboratory".
- Extended search capabilities (gene,donor,external references, ....).
- Better layout, the tool is integrated with GBrowse, which makes it easier to compare strains.

New portal pages have been introduced for each of the main features within T1DBase. These portal pages give you more information on features as well as allowing for more advanced queries to be performed, such as finding all non-synonymous variants in a gene or region.

GBrowse has been upgraded to a new version of the software. Changes to the software include an updated user interface, performance enhancements and independent loading of tracks.
